First I shape and fire some  dichroic or handpainted tin float or "found" glass. The painting is often in Sumi E style and the "found" glass frequently comes from coloured wine bottles!  After kiln firing  I am ready for the next step.

The shape is  wrapped in a fine drape of polymer clay which forms the "cocoon". The whole is then fired in a home oven.

The  soft feminine folds of the draped clay contrast with the reflective surface of the glass.
